There’s nothing I love more than the feel of a good hotel. The ambiance, the way it is always alive, something is always happening and each moment counts as a part of its existence; even the tired, quiet hours of the night (having worked nights at one point during my hotel career I was able to experience the hotel even at the most unbecoming hours) and the hotel, in fact, never sleeps.

There are plenty of hotels out there: large hotels, luxury hotels, small, new, old, classic, modern and I suppose it’s a matter of taste as to which can be considered better or worse; however, generally my preferred hotels are those which I can “feel”. A hotel with a history, a soul, where the walls, ceilings and floors breathe memories from the past (personal or not), a hotel with character, a hotel with flair, a hotel that is able to awaken emotions within me, that is a hotel of my choice.
