Dominican Republic Desserts
Words cannot describe how unbelievably delightful this cake is. The cake alone makes Dominican Republic desserts world class. It is something you absolutely must try if ever you come across it and you know what, because this cake is so amazing I’m not only going to tell you about it but I’m also posting a link to the recipe in case you can or have anyone that you can convince to make you one. Voila! Here it is:
I had the pleasure of coming across this while in the Dominican Republic last year. The first bite shot images of the Halo-halo from the Philippines through my head and, sure enough, they have a very important common ingredient: condensed milk. It’s soft, light and fluffy with an unbelievable sweetness to it and its topped off with icing and smothered in sauce. Honestly it was like I died and went to food heaven, it was so good that I just couldn’t help going for a piece any time it was available, 4 times later I was still looking out for it.
If you have a sweet tooth then definitely give it a try, if not then I’m sure you’ll find something equally amazing when in the Dominican Republic or Latin America (or you could just give it a try).
