Ice Cream in Paris – Paris Desserts

Paris is well renowned for its dining and Paris desserts thoroughly satisfy the taste buds. As far as desserts go the ice cream is some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Berthillon is probably the most famous place to have an ice cream in Paris. Located on the Ile Saint-Louis in the latin quarter of Paris, they opened their doors in 1954 and have been speing in Ice cream ever since. This ice cream – the most famous amongst the local Parisians – can be found at most cafes in Paris. Usually you will see a sign with the logo if they do.

Although Berthillion is, without doubt, the ice cream to be enjoyed amongst the locals, I must mention another famous Paris dessert venue practically located just next door on the little Ile, simply because it also is amazing and something that shouldn’t be missed when in Paris, especially on a nice summer’s day. A friend of mine impressed me with this back in the day by bringing me to this ice cream shop, Amorino, also located on the Ile Saint-Louis. I had the most amazing Italian ice cream which was served to me in the shape of a giant rose! The texture and flavour were outstanding and it was huge: it’s little wonder this has become so popular among tourists and should definitely be experienced when in Paris!
